| I am working on a long
term project that I have nicknamed “News / Divided Attention”
for which I have collected an enormous amount of material in different
formats from newspapers clippings, magazines and video news as well
as diary videos shot in the last twenty years.
The purpose of the DVD–Rom is to exploit as well as mock our compulsion to indulge in multi-tasking and to rejoice in information overload. The process is about building short clips that are collaged from all those sources and that will be organized in different databases that will be retrieved randomly, creating collapsed meanings and ironic juxtapositions. The final version for the DVD will be titled “The Meaning
of Is”. |
